Judge Granville Berkley, Sr. came to Boulder in 1863 with his son, Granville Berkley, Jr. He was a pioneer lawyer in Boulder. He had served in the Iowa Volunteers during the Civil War, and Granville, Jr. served under him. Judge Berkley was married three times and had eleven children. Junius Berkley, another son of Granville, Sr., was a leading lawyer in Boulder and one of the first regents of the University of Colorado. Granville Berkley, Jr. married Clara C....
